Heading towards Illinois I stopped to ski Wilmot Mountain; only about an hour's drive from the Chicago O'Hare airport.
It was quite busy, but with a dozen lifts, it handled the crowds very well.

Seeing as this is the only other ski area in the U.S. where one can ski in two states at once (the other straddles Heavenly in California and Nevada), I thought it would be fun to do just that. Apparently it's not legal. Here we see me being busted by ski patrol.
Well...not exactly. Friendly patroller Bill Zaksas was kind enough to illustrate what might happen IF someone tried to ski out of area, while patroller Carrol Beck captured the moment.
