Situated right on the Mississippi river, just a hop, skip, and jump from Iowa,
this is the best mid-western resort I've sampled.

With moguls, steeps, screaming groomers, and almost 500 vertical feet,
there is a lot to hold one's interest.

From the highest chairlift, I couldn't help but wonder how far one could coast
across the frozen Mississip starting from the top in a tight tuck...

Had to grab a passerby to take this photo.
I've sure met a lot of friendly people on this midwestern swing.

Leaving Chestnut Mtn. I wonder how long before I pass this way again...
