Big Sky and Moonlight Basin, Montana '04 Ski Trip -SkiStreak.com
Once again, we hit Montana just right with new powder!

Jay on 'Big Rock Tongue' headwall under the Challenger Chair. It's steeper than it looks.

Big Sky says their skier density averages one skier per 3 acres.
Regular visitor Sam drives 17 hours round-trip from North Dakota
several times per year to enjoy this lack of density...

Most of our group. [Sculhane and Sam not shown]

If Big Sky averages 3 acres per skier, next-door neighbor Moonlight Basin must be 20 acres per skier.
Not a person, not even a track, in sight as I make my way down this gladed run.

Ever wonder what's on the other side of the 'Challenger' chair?
Or the A-Z chutes? It's now a resort called "Moonlight Basin."
