It was nice to see that when Vail properties bought Arrowhead they still allowed it to retain its own identity as a ski area. It was just as I remembered it from 1996.

We even found powder on the Arrowhead side.

Driving from I-70 over to Ski Cooper revealed some absolutely beautiful mountain vistas.

"Ski Cooper" is often confused with "Copper Mountain." They are quite different from each other, as will be seen in the next couple pages.

I had to laugh at all the confusing names around here. A few miles back I crossed the 'Arkansas River', here I am at the 'Tennessee Pass', at 'Colorado's Cooper Ski Area', about to ski the 'Chicago Ridge'.
